Vertebrate publishes books to inspire adventure.
Its offices are situated on the doorstep of the Peak District, minutes away from world-class running, climbing, biking and hillwalking – the inspiration behind the company’s first books.
Vertebrate aims to inspire everyone to get out there and to connect readers – young and old – with the outdoors and the positive impact it can have on well-being.
It’s catalogue of books includes Steve Birkinshaw’s bestselling account of his record-breaking Wainwright run, There is No Map in Hell, and a series of comprehensive guides to off-road running across the UK’s national parks.
As well as publishing award-winning new books, Vertebrate is working to make available many out-of-print classics in both print and digital formats.
These are stories that it believes are unique and significant and aims to make sure that they continue to be shared and enjoyed.
