Posting reviews on the RunUltra website

We love hearing about your race, kit and running experiences and value your contributions to our site. We also want to make sure that RunUltra is a safe and trustworthy source for our global runner community.

We only invite reviews submitted by runners aged 18 or older.

To help us with this goal, and to get your review published as quickly as possible please read the following guidelines and terms and conditions for posting reviews.

Easy to read

Help other runners get the most out of your review by using the correct alphabet for your language and avoiding machine translations that make your review hard to read.

Please don’t use HTML tags, excessive ALL CAPS (upper case) or slang. Fill up the space with details about your personal experience of the race, kit or topic.

Unbiased

Reviews are most helpful when they provide unbiased advice. We don’t allow individuals or entities who own or are affiliated with an event to publish reviews of their event. Reviews submitted in an attempt to blackmail an event listing will not be published.

How to report a review you suspect to be fraudulent

If you suspect a review is fraudulent or doesn’t meet RunUltra’s posting guidelines, you can use the website contact form.

Your personal experience

Our running community wants to hear about your experience. This means no second-hand information, rumours or quotations from other sources in your review.

Please only provide reviews based on the experience you’ve had. Be sure to include enough detail in your review that other runners will find your comments and advice helpful.

Recent

The best reviews are those that are written within a year of your experience.  We want to hear about every race you run so don’t let that stop you writing about the latest race even if you ran the same race some time ago.  We have no limits on how many reviews or how often you can submit them. If you want to update/edit your previous review please use our contact us page.

Original

Give us your best, most accurate advice – just make sure it’s yours. Reviews should contain original content and no extensive quoted material from other sources. Any review content plagiarised from other websites, reviewers, emails or printed materials will be removed.

Non-commercial

Our forums and reviews are designed to provide helpful advice and insights for your fellow runners, not to advertise an event or promote your product or service. If you wish to promote your event, product or service, please visit our marketing opportunities page.

Please don’t include commercial or promotional content of any kind. Reviews that are being offered in exchange for incentives or payment will be removed. We reserve the right to reject specific content for any reason. We do not allow reviews that contain links to external websites.

Privacy

We respect your privacy and the privacy of the events we list. We want you to tell us all about your experience but please keep personal information to yourself, such as emails or telephone numbers.  We do allow names to be published to our site.

Right to remove content

RunUltra reserves the right to remove a race or kit review or comment at any time, for any reason. The opinions expressed in reviews are those of RunUltra members and not of RunUltra. We do not endorse any of the opinions expressed by reviewers.

Moderation Policies

If you have a question or comment for RunUltra about our moderation policies, you can contact us via our contact us page.
