The 60-km course route starts and finishes in the township of Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. A sunrise hill climb transports runners to the top of Dudley Peninsula providing panoramic views over the ocean to mainland South Australia.

Runners will head south crossing over Chapman River and looping around Cape Willoughby lighthouse, before a detour across coastal farm trails that pass by spectacular Antechamber Bay. The final stretch descends a historic tree lined canopy called Binney’s track, returning runners to the local footy oval where they’ll be greeted by family and friends.

We also offer the WILDROO Half for beginner and intermediate marathon runners; a 30-km run from Penneshaw to Cape Willoughby lighthouse including return bus transfers.
