SALOMON opens 2017 Ultra Running Academies for applications

By Alice Morrison

Salomon, purveyor of kit to many of us, are moving further into the ultra running market by opening up ultra running academies on three continents: North America / Europe / Asia-Oceania. Eight women and eight men will be selected for each one to spend a week of training with top class runners and working with Salomon product developers.

Above all, it’s about sharing the passion. The great thing about enthusiasm is that it’s contagious!” says Gregory Vollet, International Sports Marketing Manager.

Ultra Runner Max King adds, “I was lucky enough to work with the youth at the Salomon Running Academy and am excited to be working on this new project to bring the same incredible experience to ultra runners.”

The Salomon Ultra Running academies will take place in:

  • March 2017 for North America in USA (Moab)
  • April 2017 for Asia-Oceania in China (Linhai)
  • May 2017 for Europe in France (Annecy)

In addition to spending a week at the academies, the best man and the best woman from each one will be invited to participate in the Chamonix 80km in France at the end of June and the Trans Alpines run in Germany at the end of August.

This is an incredible opportunity for talented runners both to develop their skills and to get in front of potential sponsors.

They are open for applications here. Good Luck and let us know if you get in!
