Camí de Cavalls Epic 360

Last updated: 19-Jul-18

By Alice Morrison

From the 23rd-25th of September the second edition of the Camí de Cavalls Epic 360º takes place round the island of Menorca in three stages. It is for teams of two, on foot and/or on MTB.

The race covers 152 km and 2498m ascent. 97 teams and 194 athletes will take the start next Friday.

The Camí de Cavalls follows the Menorca coast through a mostly virgin waterfront moulded along the centuries and millennia by the sea and the wind. In some sections, the path moves away from the coastline and heads inland across fields, forests and ravines. There’s a huge diversity of flora and fauna and a wide variety of endangered species or species with substantial ecological value.

The stages

The Camí de Cavalls Epic 360º splits in to three stages with distances of around 50 km each.

The participants of the Camí de Cavalls Epic 360º can choose to go on foot for the entire race or to take on the second stage by MTB. This option is known as the DualTrail Epic and allows you to discover the area between Maó and Platges de Fornells, and its amazing scenery.

If 152km in three days seem too much, there is a reduced version of the challenge. The Experience 360º which is 94 km in total with 1573 m ascent, split in three stages.
