If you are free on the 6th of June and are in London (UK), why not go along to a screening of the great new documentary ‘RunFree – The True Story of Caballo Blanco‘.
Based on the life of USA ultra running legend Micah True (Caballo Blanco or White Horse), the documentary recounts his quest to create an ultra marathon in Mexico to promote and preserve Tarahumara running tradition. The reclusive Tarahumara are a Native Mexican tribe inhabiting the Mexican Copper Canyons.
True later became a main character in Christopher McDougall’s book Born to Run – A Hidden Tribe, Super Athletes and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen. Publication of this book, a New York Times bestseller in 2009, increased the popularity of Caballo Blanco and he, in turn, made use of his new found popularity to promote the race.
The screening is being put on for a good cause – to raise money for the charity StreetChild. 100% of the profits will go to the charity.
This is only the second ever UK screening of the film – so you will be way ahead of the crowd!
Tickets are on sale here.
