A classic event gets a new name and face for registration day.
Are you ready for December 16th?
No matter which of the five trail running events you were taking part in or talking about, you’ve probably always called it the UTMB® instead of the full Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® which is, was, its real name. From now on, you’ve got it right.
The organisers of the iconic Alpine event have officially changed the name to UTMB®, still the name of its key event. They have also created a new logo for the 2016 registration campaign which starts very soon. Columbia Sportswear Company is now introduced as “presenting partner” for the event and they’ve been incorporated to the visual identity of the yearly August event.
Online pre-registration begins on December 16th and ends on January 5th 2016. Remember that your qualifying points should have been obtained between January 1st 2014 and December 31st 2015.
This is what you need:
- UTMB® 9 points (15 new points*) from 3 races
- CCC® 3 points (7 new points*) from 1 or 2 races
- TDS® 3 points (7 new points*) from 1 or 2 races
- OCC® 1 point (3 new points*) from 1 or 2 races
Check all qualifying races, general criteria and FAQs from the UTMB® website.
*New points refer to the new ITRA scale managing the points assignation.
