Elisabet Barnes, who was Ladies Champion at the Marathon des Sables 2015 has won the women’s competition at the Oman Desert Marathon.

Elisabet has had a storming year, becoming one of Britain’s (and Sweden’s!) best performing female ultra runners and an absolute winner in the desert.

She took a resounding victory in Oman, winning 6 stages out of 6 to become the 2015 Ladies Oman Desert Marathon Champion. She finished in the top 10 overall and was third European.

The Oman Desert Marathon is 165 kilometers in 6 self-sufficient stages to discover the Oasis and the highest dunes of the Oman Desert on the tracks of the ancient caravans.

See more about the Oman Desert Marathon.

Huge Congratulations to Elisabet! Looking forward to seeing her at MdS2016.
